WHY NOW? BECAUSE WHEN TWO SACRED MONSTERS OF CINEMA, EACH COLLECTING DOZENS OF CULT ROLES TO THEIR CREDITS, MEET FOR THE FIRST TIME ON A FILM.. WE NECESSARILY EXPECT A LOT AND 9 TIMES OUT OF 10, WE ARE DISAPPOINTED.
At this stage of their career we are happy to see them play together but we know that even if they’re great actors, it is very unlikely that it will be in the context of an excellent film.
But HEAT is the teh perfect example of right time …right ^pace.
It was the perfect film , and the characters matched incredibly..
All is crystallized in an incredible restaurant scene... the first between those twho.
It’s hard to imagine the pressure on michael mann’s shoulders….we know what those two are capable of but…he’s the reason why the MAGIC operated.
CLASSIC !! Even if it lasted on ly 6.18seconds.
